This is the FOURTH year the Swansea Town Hall is partnering with the Swansea Royal Canadian Legion, the Swansea Area Ratepayers Association and the Swansea Community Recreation Centre to participate in the 2011 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon! These 4 SWANSEA COMMUNITY PARTNERS will be hosting a NEIGHBOURHOOD CHEERING SECTION to fundraise for their initiatives and to cheer on the SWANSEA CHAMPION TEAM and all other marathon runners that day!

Money raised by the event will be put to great use in our local area! The Recreation Centre will use it to help fund its fabulous programs, the Legion will use it for maintaining its historic Swansea building, the Town Hall will use it to help fund its second phase of expansion and the Ratepayers will use it to fund their ongoing work on important local issues!

Our 2011 goals are to . . .

• win FIRST PRIZE again this year as the BEST CHEERING SECTION again on the race route and
• exceed the $12,000 we raised last year for the Partners!

We need YOUR help to do this! This event helps build spirit and friendship in the Swansea Community and shows the 18,000+ Marathon Racers what a vibrant and spirited community we are!
