Practica El Beso brings to you Tango classes, workshops and exclusive guest instructors.  Featuring music as played in the dance halls (milongas) of downtown Buenos Aires.  Balance, core strength, confidence, musicality will help you find your inner "tanguero". Isabella and Nicolai will guide you to explore your passion for Tango in a 5 week series focusing on Fundamentals.  Each week we will investigate a different fundamental element of close embrace Tango.  All levels welcome.  Cost of series $75. Botanical Art with Coloured Pencils - Monday afternoons

Botanical Art with Coloured Pencils: Textures
Shiny, fuzzy, bumpy, smooth. Hunker down this winter for a good look at texture. Nellie Sue will guide you through the techniques of depicting various types of surfaces, from the delicate transparency of onion skins, to the bright waxy shine of a pepper.
A materials list will be sent upon registration.
Previous drawing experience required.

Art Tracks – Drawing & Painting Classes - We offer small group classes where participants can count on plenty of individual instruction from our qualified teacher/artists.  Working from reference pictures and from life, you will have the opportunity to practise and develop confidence in the medium of your choice, whether graphite, coloured pencils, pastels, ink, watercolours, acrylics or oils.   All levels are welcome --- Beginners are introduced to techniques for getting started, while intermediate and advanced students build on existing skills--- all in a supportive environment with expert feedback.

Meditation Basics - Tuesday Evenings

Learn to meditate. In this 4-week course, we will cover the basics of building a meditation practice and integrating awareness into daily life. It is a small class (our limit is 12 students) so there will be ample time for questions and discussion. This course is oriented to beginners or people who want to get back to basics. Using a format of group meditation, teaching, discussion, and exercises, we will explore experiences and issues that are encountered in building a sustainable meditation practice. In order to benefit from the course, students will need to practice meditation at home on a regular basis. Runs October 4th until October 25.

Debating in a fun and friendly atmosphere - Every Other Tuesday

We are a group of people interested in words, ideas and the power of quick thinking. We meet every other Tuesday from September to May to tackle issues large and small. We debate issues anywhere from, "The Catholic Church is a force for good in the world" to "Procrastination Saves Time."
No experience is necessary! Free admission to all visitors and guests are always welcome. To become a member, a $65 annual membership fee covers our entire nine month season and allows you to participate in any debate! ($35 for students!) Drop by and try us out!

Kundalini Yoga - Wednesday Evenings

We Tango! - Wednesday Evenings

We Tango is a midweek MILONGA (dance) normally held in the Council Room of Swansea Town Hall where we dance Argentine Tango.  Most of those who attend the Milonga dance the Tango in the close embrace style. It is danced to the traditional Tango music and orchestras from its early beginnings in the 1930’s through the “Golden Age” era of the mid 40’s early 50’s to the more modern ensembles of today that play it in the traditional way. The Milonga is hosted by Pam and John, assisted by Adrian and operates every Wednesday from 9:00 p.m.- 11:00 p.m. Admittance is $7.00 which includes Coffee and/or Tea and a small sweet (usually home baked) At this juncture, no lessons are provided but occasionally we will offer lessons from teachers who are visiting from Argentina, There will be an extra charge if and when lessons are offered.
