Swansea’s Centennial Walk: Exploring the Community
Join us and learn about Swansea’s history as we celebrate our Centennial.
2026, marks 100 years since Swansea became an independent village. Its term of self-government only lasted 41 years before it was amalgamated into the City of Toronto in 1967. The community though has retained its charm, independent character and remains a desirable place to live. We will visit some of the key sites that helped define Swansea as it has evolved from rural village, to suburb, to today’s city neighbourhood.
