They Walked These Streets.

Honoring soldiers from Swansea who served in World War I and World War II

They walked these streets. We will remember them.

For Remembrance Day 2024 the Swansea Town Hall hosted a memorial staged by the They Walked These Streets neighbourhood project. This commemoration recognized those who served in, and did not return from, World War I and World War II. The organizers invited visitors to join them at 11 locations across the neighbourhood to learn about the more than 1300 soldiers who served. Each space commemorated different people.

They Walked These Streets was also dedicated to all those who served, those who came home and those who continue to serve for Canada.
