Please note that our current public protocols at the Town Hall are on this link.
We ask that everyone entering our building enter from the main door at 95 Lavinia Avenue and exit from the rear/ravine/parking lot entrance.
Our rear door at 95 Lavinia Avenue will be LOCKED and cannot be used as an entrance.
Parking and Access:
- Swansea Town Hall is nestled in a residential neighbourhood. Street parking is available in the area. Note that some streets limit parking before 10:00 am unless you have a permit. Municipal (pay) parking lots are available just north of Bloor Street.
Very limited parking for 18 vehicles (+2 Disabled Spots) is available at the rear of Swansea Town Hall in the lot shared with 93 Lavinia Avenue (see P on the map) In this lot you may park in “Visitor” spaces only. Do not park in reserved or numbered spots. Numbered spots are assigned to 93 Lavinia Avenue residents and if used you will be subject to towing.
- If parking, please always follow the directional map at right, entering the lane-way on Deforest Road and exiting on Durie Street. Please stop at all lane exits to check for pedestrian traffic on the sidewalks and for oncoming cars.
- Do not block or wait in any of the rear lanes behind Lavinia Avenue as this is a fire access route.
- When you are parking in the neighbourhood, please check street signage to ensure you are abiding by any parking restrictions and do not block anyone’s residential driveway or you may be fined or towed.
- Please do not park or stop on the west side of Lavinia Avenue to drop or pick up.
- Please be aware that a City of Toronto bylaw exists which allows fines to be levied if a vehicle is parked for more than 3 hours on streets without signage.
