Rousseau Room1

Rousseau

This bright, airy room is adjacent to a full, industrial kitchen which is also available for rent.  It has sustainable, flooring, louvered blinds and several options for flexible lighting applications.  It is suitable for meetings, parties, wedding receptions, bridal/baby showers, dance/exercise classes, community events, lectures, recitals,  presentations and more.

Council Chamber

Council Chamber

Located on the 2nd floor, the Council Chamber is a warm, wood paneled room.  There are track lights and spot lights, as well as wall sconces for low level ambient light.  The Council Chamber is suitable for large meetings, parties, receptions, dance/exercise classes, community events, lectures, art shows, performances and presentations.

Founders Room

Founders

This quiet room is located on our ravine level, with same floor level access to our parking lot.  It has a sprung wooden floor, wall sconces, track lights and a full mirrored wall.  It has no natural light which makes it ideal for dance and fitness classes or practices.  It is also appropriate for smaller parties where little or no furniture needs to be setup.

This bright, west facing activity room has a wooden floor, mirrors at one end and a ballet bar running the length of one wall.  It is suitable for parties, meetings, workshops and art classes as well as any kind of activity based class such as martial arts, dance or yoga.

This room is located on our ravine level, with same floor level access to our parking lot.  It is a smaller room with a wooden floor and natural light from a north facing window.  It is ideal for meetings with presentations, dance, party or exercise class activity.

Our Booking Process

Contact us for Availability

To make a room booking, please call or email us for room/date availability.  Once our Front Desk Staff has confirmed availability, complete the booking request form and drop it off in person or email it to frontdesk@swanseatownhall.ca.  This form must only be completed once our Front Desk Staff have confirmed your date requested.

Confirmation

Once your booking is confirmed, you will need to sign a Space Use Agreement.  The invoice must be paid in full 30 days before your event begins.  In the event that your date is requested for another event and you have not paid your invoice in full, we will inform you and you will need to pay the invoice in full in order to secure your date.

Payment is due 30 days prior to your event booking date.  Debit, Visa/Mastercard or E-transfers are accepted.  Please contact the Front Desk Staff for more information.

We offer free Wifi to all Swansea Town Hall visitors. If you require stronger internet, please contact the front desk staff.

Food

FOOD & DRINK

We have snacks and cold drink vending machines on our Ravine Level, and hot beverage vending machine in the lobby of our main floor.  We also have cold filtered water fountains located on our Ravine level and 2nd floor lobby areas.

AED

AED DEFIBRILLATOR

We have an AED defibrillator located on the main floor, just outside the washroom entrance.

Kitchen Room

KITCHEN

We have a newly renovated kitchen located on the main floor of the building.  It is available for rent in conjunction with events.  Please refer to the rate card for additional information.  Click here for images.

Additional Booking Info
  • RATES:  Rates are effective January 1st of the current year, and are subject to change without notice.
  • KITCHEN FACILITIES: We have a newly renovated kitchen located on the main floor of the building, adjacent to the Rousseau Room.   It is available for rent in conjunction with events in all other rooms (lower and upper levels).  Trolleys are available and elevator access is available.  Please refer to the Amenities and Accessories for additional services available and photos.
  • MINIMUM RENTAL: A 2.5 hour minimum rental applies from Monday to Thursday after 7:00pm.
  • ADDITIONAL CHARGES: If a room is rented outside of building operational hours, an additional hourly charge is added to the regular hourly rate.  Please see the rate card for more information.  Swansea Town Hall closes at 5pm on Saturday and is closed on Sunday.  For events that occur after hours or those that include alcohol, a $200 (cash only) damage security deposit is required.
  • FURNITURE: All furniture is provided and included in the room rental rate. See Amenities and Accessories for photos.
  • WIFI: Wifi is available to all building visitors.  If you require stronger internet access for a course or event, please contact the front desk staff.
  • RULES AND REGULATIONS: 
    • i. No ball playing is allowed in any of our rental rooms.
    • ii. No activity that may mark the painted walls or damage the floors.
    • iii. Lit candles are not permitted in the rooms due to the smoke detection system.
  • ALCOHOL:  If alcohol will be served at your event, please inform us at the time of reservation.  You are required to provide us with a copy of the Special Occasion Permit obtained from the LCBO prior to the start of your event.  Please read the rules and regulations for a full understanding of what you need to comply with and ask us if you have any questions.
  • PARKING:  As we are nestled in a residential area, parking is limited to a small lot at the rear of our building.  There is also limited street parking available.  Please refer to the parking guidelines in the CONTACT US page and make sure all attendees at your event are aware of these guidelines.
